Review by hotel critic
As a marine biologist hailing from the Bahamas, I'm always on the hunt for compelling culinary experiences, and my recent stay at New Taksim was no exception. The hotel's breakfast spread was quite memorable. I particularly enjoyed the buffet options, which included a delicious array of halal selections, available daily at 8:30 AM. the pastries, fresh fruits, and warm bread made for an energizing start to my day, allowing me to dive right into my Istanbul explorations. One evening, I chose to dine at the hotel's own Meze by Lemon Tree. The ambiance was inviting, but what truly stood out was the beautifully arranged meze platter that felt reminiscent of my Bahamian family gatherings, yet with a distinct Turkish flair. Each bite was a journey. While the rooms were modest, they served their purpose. The cleanliness and tranquility-thanks to effective soundproofing-made it a pleasant retreat after long days of sightseeing. With the convenience of transport nearby and the kindness of the staff, my culinary getaway in Istanbul was enjoyable. Wouldn't hesitate to return!
